PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – Central Arizona College (CAC) Community Events proudly announces its 2024-2025 season.

With the ongoing closure and rebuilding of the Pence Center for the Arts at the college’s Signal Peak Campus, the 2024-25 Season highlights smaller local events that will be distributed between four of CAC’s campuses: Signal Peak Campus (SPC) in Coolidge, Maricopa Campus (MAR) in the City of Maricopa, San Tan Campus (STC) in San Tan Valley and Superstition Mountain Campus (SMC) in Apache Junction. In the Premiere Events series, Community Events is proud to welcome Maricopa resident and stand-up comedian Tony Vicich to headline an adult-themed comedy night at the Maricopa Campus (MAR) in October. Tony will also produce a standup comedy night at the San Tan Campus (STC) in March. Both shows promise to be fun evenings, so bring a friend!

Additionally, Magician Eric Gilliam will perform in November at the San Tan Campus (STC) and in February at the Maricopa Campus (MAR). The Tribute Barbershop Quartet helps ring in the holidays at the Superstition Mountain Campus (SMC) and the Signal Peak Campus (SPC) in December. In January, the Perceptives Mentalism will astound audiences at the San Tan Campus (STC) and Superstition Mountain Campus (SMC), along with local musicians John & Julie who will be performing at the Signal Peak Campus (SPC) in January, then at Superstition Mountain Campus (SMC) in February, and March at the Maricopa Campus (MAR).

Community Events is grateful for community partners who will be hosting some of the larger events while the Pence auditorium is under construction. Two such events are The Sons of the Pioneers concert in January and the James Fernando Jazz Trio in February. Both concerts will be presented at The First Presbyterian Church of Casa Grande.

The popular Speaker’s Series will continue with local musician and storyteller Nancy Elliott presenting her workshop The Heart of It All to CAC students in October at the Signal Peak Campus (SPC), and to members of the public at the Maricopa Campus (MAR) in January and San Tan Campus (STC) in February. Additionally, newcomer Heather Dzcicek will take on the topic of how to talk with people who have cancer in her talk How Not to Say Dumb Sh*t. Dzcicek will be at the Signal Peak Campus (SPC) in February and Superstition Mountain Campus (SMC) in March.

With the help of community partners, the CAC Music and Entertainment Industry Technology (EIT) departments will perform their fall and spring concerts in the community. EIT students will perform their midterm and final Rocktacular concerts at the Signal Peak Campus (SPC). The CAC Community Band and Orchestra will perform their fall and spring concerts at Casa Grande Union High School in November and April. The CAC Handbell Choir and Choir will perform their winter and spring concerts at The First Presbyterian Church of Casa Grande in December and May. Additionally, the CAC music department is proud to participate in the first Casa Grande Community Veteran’s Day Concert in November, also at The First Presbyterian Church of Casa Grande.

New for the 2024-2025 is a new ticketing service through Ludus. The web address to purchase or reserve tickets is cacevents.ludus.com.

Tickets may be purchased in person by visiting the Community Events Box Office located at the Signal Peak Campus (8470 N. Overfield Road, Coolidge, Az, 85128) in the Building H Lobby. Box Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to -12 p.m. (Noon). The box office is closed during college closures. Ticket sales will also be held in the lobby of each event location beginning one hour prior to the event. Seating is first-come, first-served and doors into the event space will open 30 minutes prior to the event. For more information, please call (520) 477-SHOW.
