ADOT's Weekend Freeway Travel Advisory (Phoenix Area)
November 15-18, 2024

Weekend Travel Advisory
Hello from ADOT. Well, we won't have quite as many closures or restrictions along Phoenix-area freeways compared to other recent weekends. As always, we appreciate your patience and understanding about improvement projects that require weekend restrictions. We are approaching the holiday travel season when restrictions are much more limited. For this weekend (Nov. 15-18), click the Weekend Travel Advisory Map for more information about these and other freeway restrictions:
  • Eastbound I-10 narrowed to two lanes between the I-17 "Split" interchange near Sky Harbor Airport and US 60 (Superstition Freeway) from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday (Nov. 18) for work on the Broadway Curve Improvement Project. Some ramp closures in the area start as early as 8 p.m. Friday. The southbound I-17 ramp to eastbound I-10 near the airport will be closed. All I-10 ramps (east- and westbound) to eastbound US 60 will be closed.
  • Eastbound Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) closed between McQueen and Cooper roads from 11:59 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday (Nov. 16) and then westbound Loop 202 will be closed between Cooper and McQueen roads from 11:59 p.m. Saturday to noon Sunday (Nov. 17) for work on the freeway widening project in that area. Click the Weekend Travel Advisory Map for more information.
  • SR 87 will be restricted (narrowed to one lane in each direction) between McDowell Road and Shea Boulevard from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday (Nov. 17) for the Ironman Arizona event. Other restrictions will be in place in the area.
