Central Arizona College to Hold “Walk the Land” Celebration on November 18, 2024

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – In honor of Native American Heritage Month, Central Arizona College will host a “Walk the Land” celebration on Mon., November 18, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Signal Peak Campus (8470 N Overfield Rd., Coolidge, AZ 85128.) The program will begin at the I building outdoor plaza.
The “Walk the Land” celebration will acknowledge the Indigenous community’s important contributions while celebrating and honoring their diverse cultures, traditions and histories. Following a welcome and reading of the Land Acknowledgement, there will be a celebration and blessing, keynote speech focused on revitalizing Indigenous language, and the “Walk the Land” self-guided cultural tour. The event will conclude with a culturally inspired lunch.
