Superstition Radio Control Helicopter Association Offers Scholarships for CAC Students
By Angela Askey, Executive Director Public Relations and Marketing
Pinal County, AZ – The Central Arizona College Foundation recently received a donation of $2500 from the Superstition Radio Control Helicopter Association (SRCHA), providing ongoing scholarship funding for students in CAC’s drone program.
Each year SRCHA conducts a raffle to raise scholarship funds during the Southwest Heli Rodeo at CAC’s Signal Peak Campus, which is now a SRCHA Academy of Model Aeronautics affiliated field. The event showcases their dedication to the hobby but also a commitment to giving back.
SRCHA hosts monthly fly days at the CAC Signal Peak Campus, and the 20th Annual Southwest Heli Rodeo will return to the campus in November 2026. Community members are invited to attend, support the club's initiatives and witness their passion for the hobby. For more information about the club, visit https://srcha.fun or email info@srcha.fun. To learn more about the RC world of aviation you can visit the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) website at www.modelaircraft.org.
Tax-deductible contributions can be made online at www.centralaz.edu/give to support this and other CAC scholarships.
