Work on a new lane configuration on I-10 north of Casa Grande to begin on Wednesday, April 22
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises motorists traveling on Interstate 10 through the Wild Horse Pass Corridor Project to plan for a new traffic configuration with work beginning on Wednesday night, April 22.
Crews will be shifting the existing two lanes of traffic to the outside lanes on eastbound I‑10 between Dirk Lay Road Bridge and SR 387/Pinal Ave. (Mileposts 177-187). They expect to have the new configuration fully in place by Monday, May 4.
Crews will be working overnight hours from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. to get this work done. Lane restrictions related to the work can be found on the Traffic Alerts page.
Later in May, drivers can expect crews to begin making the same shift to the westbound I-10 lanes in the same area.
These shifts will allow crews to begin constructing a third general‑purpose lane in the median. This traffic configuration will remain in place for about one year.
