CAC Student, Sevasti Silvia Named Coca-Cola Academic Team Gold Scholar

PINAL COUNTY, Ariz. – Central Arizona College San Tan Campus student, Sevasti Silvia, has been named a 2023 Coca-Cola Academic Team Gold Scholar.

Silvia’s selection as a Coca-Cola Silver Scholar is based on the score she earned in the All-USA Community College Academic Team competition. Students are evaluated on their academic achievement, leadership, and engagement in college and community service.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation sponsors the Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team program by recognizing 50 Gold, 50 Silver and 50 Bronze Scholars, with nearly $200,000 in scholarships annually. Each Gold Scholar receives a $1,500 scholarship and a special medallion.

The announcement of this prestigious award comes just a few weeks after Silvia was selected to the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society All-Arizona Academic Team.

Coca-Cola Academic Team members will be recognized internationally during Phi Theta Kappa’s annual convention, PTK Catalyst, to be held in Columbus, Ohio, April 20-22.
