About Us
ABOUT CAYWOOD FARMS:
Caywood Farms, a Five Generation farm located between Coolidge and Casa Grande, Arizona grows a variety of crops including cotton.
CURIOUS ABOUT ARIZONA AGRICULTURE?
Caywood Farms offers farm tours! Learn what it takes to farm on this Arizona Desert including information on water, drought, and crops that are grown in this region. You will also learn about cotton, from seed to fiber, including how it is ginned, graded, marketed and sold. Did you know that Arizona Cotton produces some of the whitest and highest-quality around and that there are 150 yards of cotton in a regulation baseball?!
INFORMATIONAL AND FUN!
You will see cotton harvesting equipment, enjoy an indoor presentation followed by a hayride!
INTERACTIVE:
Hands-on activities will give you the opportunity to explore cotton samples and discover the difference between Upland and Pima Cotton. Following the indoor presentation, you will board our hay wagons (easy access) and ride along the field roads and learn about some of the history of this farm. It has been in our family for 93 years! A stop at the cotton field will give you the opportunity to see cotton in the field and pick some to take home (as long as Mother Nature cooperates).
We encourage you to arrive early and bring a picnic lunch. We have tables and chairs. We suggest you bring a hat, sunscreen and water (we sell water for $1.00 a bottle). There are clean restrooms. Come join us for a fun tour!
