Florence Copper: Copper for the USA, Opportunity for Arizona

Florence Copper is an in-situ copper recovery project located in the community of Florence, Arizona. Following years of test work, permitting, and construction, Florence Copper commenced production in February 2026, making it the first new major U.S. copper producer in more than a decade. As a significant employer in the region and the state, Florence Copper will support more than 810 Arizona jobs over the project lifetime and produces copper, a vital material essential to electrification, advanced manufacturing, national defense, and technologies powering the modern economy.
