Casa Grande Ruins National Monument Holds Sunset Program
COOLIDGE, AZ – Casa Grande Ruins will be conducting a sunset program on Wednesday, February 28. The program will begin at 6:00 pm and end at 8:00 pm.
More than 70,000 visitors come to see the Casa Grande Ruins yearly and the Monument closes at 4:00 pm. This program gives visitors the opportunity to see the monument in a different light. The park staff invites the public to join us to see the Great House and ruins as the sun sets behind them. On February 28, the gates will be opened until 5:45 to allow for visitors who want to attend this special sunset tour. Dress for the weather and bring a flashlight and a camera. Admission is free.
Those who want to join this program must be in the park before 5:45 pm at Casa Grande Ruins National Monument located at 1100 W Ruins Drive, Coolidge AZ, 85128.
Casa Grande Ruins National Monument protects the multi-story Great House and the ruins of other ancient structures built by the people of the Sonoran Desert over 800 years ago. The Monument is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. except for Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
