CAC Announces 2023-2024 Pence Center Events
“We are considering this a true return to a full, active season with big shows and a delightfully varied lineup. This season we are offering inclusive shows that will appeal to audiences of a wide variety of ages and backgrounds,” said Pence Center Director, Stacey Seaman, “and we are excited to offer several internationally known shows that have not been to our venue before.”
The Season is divided into several Series. The Premiere Series features an extremely varied lineup of nine exciting shows, including family fare like ARTrageous and Le PeTiT CiRqUe, tribute musicians like Karen as Dolly! and You’ve Got a Friend, and adult entertainment such as Funny Women of a Certain Age. The Theatre Series brings six diverse shows such as the R-rated Heathers, the Musical, a new play from Childsplay called Eddie and Vinnie, and the return of the CAC student theatre group with a brand-new work called Resting Pieces. A new series called Saturdays @ CAC is an expanded speaker series and includes A Christmas Carol Radio Play and Amazing Grace: Stories of Personal Transformation from Slavery to the Present Day, amongst more traditional speakers. The Live Music Series will debut a jazz trio called The Smart Fellers who have ties to the Casa Grande area. Finally, the season also includes concerts from Central Arizona College performing ensembles such as the band, choir, orchestra and handbells.
Tickets for these shows and more are available online at www.eventsatcac.com, by phoning 520-477-SHOW (7469), or by visiting the Pence Box Office, which is open Mon-Thurs, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (when the college is in session) and one hour before shows.
